Stephanie Spencer’s grandparents bought a second home on Oak Island in the 1960’s. She spent a large part of the summer during her childhood roaming the island with her siblings and cousins. “Oak Island just makes my heart happy. I still believe that it is a ‘hidden gem’ on the coast. With its south facing beaches, the sunsets are just spectacular.”
Stephanie made the area her permanent home nearly seven years ago after relocating from Charlotte. She attended East Carolina University where she studied interior design and also worked at an engineering firm that designed planned communities.
“I recently purchased my first investment property and my Dad and I completely remodeled the house in four months. I have an eye and great imagination. There are so many opportunities here for investors as well as people that are looking for a vacation home that may just need a little fixing up.”
Since getting her real estate license five years ago, Stephanie has found the perfect career. “I’ve always believed in hard work. But, when you love your job, it really isn’t work, is it? I especially enjoy working with veterans helping them find a home and secure financing.”
She is a gifted swimmer and was a lifeguard and swim instructor for many years. “I’ve taught everyone from a three year old to an 89 year old!” She joined RE/MAX Southern Coast because of its superior technological support and finding all of the resources of a big company in a warm, family atmosphere.
